EMC Testing

NABL-accredited EMC testing for harmonic current emissions and surge immunity, to IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-4-5, IS 14700 and their BS EN equivalents.

Independent private consultancy. Aaditech is not BIS or any government department and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Licences are granted only by the authority, and you can apply directly on its portal. Our consultancy fees are separate from official fees.

The accredited EMC scope is focused on two tests. Harmonic current emissions are measured to IEC 61000-3-2, BS EN 61000-3-2 and IS 14700 (Part 3/Sec 2). Surge immunity, including high-energy and telecom surges, is tested to IEC 61000-4-5, BS EN 61000-4-5 and IS 14700 (Part 4/Sec 5), and as called up by BS EN 55014-2, BS EN 55024 and IEC 62052-11.

Surge tests for railway electronic equipment to IEC 60571 and IEC 62236-3-2 are also in scope. Radiated and conducted emissions, ESD and fast transient tests are not part of this accreditation.

Who it's for

  • LED lamp, driver and luminaire makers checking harmonic emissions
  • Electricity meter manufacturers working to IEC 62052-11
  • Railway electronics suppliers needing surge tests to IEC 60571
  • Appliance and IT equipment makers whose buyers ask for surge immunity reports

How it works

  1. Share the product and the purpose: BIS certification, a tender, a customer or export.
  2. Get the test plan. We list the standard, clauses, number of samples, cost and timeline.
  3. Send samples with the test request and technical documents.
  4. Receive the NABL accredited report, reviewed by us before you submit it.

Frequently asked questions

Which EMC tests are NABL accredited?

Harmonic current emissions to IEC 61000-3-2 and IS 14700 (Part 3/Sec 2), and surge immunity to IEC 61000-4-5 and IS 14700 (Part 4/Sec 5), with the BS EN equivalents. Radiated and conducted emissions, ESD and fast transient tests are not in this scope.

Do I need EMC tests for BIS?

It depends on the product standard and scheme. We confirm whether your BIS scheme, tender or buyer asks for EMC tests, and to which standard, before you send samples.

Other NABL testing categories

See the NABL testing service for how we work. Tests listed are within NABL accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025).
