How IS 14255 testing works

Which IS 14255 tests are NABL accredited?
All 21 tests listed on this page are within NABL accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025), each against the clause of IS 14255 shown next to it. The report carries the NABL accreditation mark for these tests.
Can the IS 14255 test report be used for BIS certification?
Yes. Testing to IS 14255 is available at a BIS-recognised laboratory, so the report can be submitted with a BIS application. BIS may still draw its own samples during the factory inspection.
How many samples are needed for IS 14255 testing?
It depends on the product, its variants and the tests you need. Share the product details and the purpose of the test (BIS, tender or customer) and we will send the sample list and a quote.
Can you test only some clauses of IS 14255?
Yes. For a tender, a customer complaint or a design check, we can test selected clauses. For BIS certification or a type test, every applicable clause has to be covered.
