NABL Accredited Household Appliance Testing in India

IS 302 (IEC 60335) is the safety standard behind most BIS-certified appliances: irons, kettles, room heaters, water heaters, mixers, cooking ranges, battery chargers and more. Part 1 sets the general requirements and each Part 2 section adds rules for one product.

Accredited tests cover marking and instructions, protection against access to live parts, power input and current, heating, leakage current and electric strength, moisture resistance, abnormal operation, stability, mechanical strength, construction, internal wiring, earthing, screws and connections, creepage and clearances, resistance to heat and fire, and tracking.
