Overview
Almost every electronic product now contains a radio, whether Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a cellular module or a simple 433 MHz remote. Radio frequency (RF) testing confirms that the transmitter stays within its permitted band, power and emission limits, so it uses the spectrum efficiently without disturbing other users. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing covers the rest of the product: it should not radiate or conduct excessive interference, and it should keep working when exposed to everyday disturbances.
Aaditech helps manufacturers, importers and telecom users plan this testing, get it done at accredited laboratories and use the results for approvals and customer requirements in India and abroad.
Note: Aaditech does not operate an RF or EMC laboratory. Tests are performed by independent accredited laboratories; we provide the technical planning, coordination and report review.
What we test
| Test area | Typical parameters | Common standards |
|---|---|---|
| 2.4 GHz wideband radio (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee) | Output power, power spectral density, occupied bandwidth, spurious emissions, adaptivity | ETSI EN 300 328 |
| 5 GHz Wi-Fi | Power, DFS behaviour, emissions | ETSI EN 301 893 |
| Short-range devices | Frequency, power, spurious emissions | ETSI EN 300 220, EN 300 440 |
| EMC for radio equipment | Emissions and immunity, with radio-specific conditions | ETSI EN 301 489 series |
| EMC for IT and multimedia equipment | Radiated and conducted emissions; immunity | CISPR 32, CISPR 35 (and IS/IEC adoptions) |
| Immunity tests | ESD, radiated RF, fast transients, surge, conducted RF, voltage dips | IEC 61000-4 series |
| Lighting EMC | Emissions from LED drivers and luminaires | CISPR 15 |
The applicable set depends on the product, its frequency bands and the market. We confirm the exact list for each product rather than relying on a generic package.
Who it’s for
- Manufacturers and importers of wireless products needing WPC Equipment Type Approval in India.
- Electronics brands whose customers or export markets require EMC evidence.
- Telecom operators and users wanting independent verification of equipment before deployment.
- Design teams looking for pre-compliance guidance before committing to full testing.
Our process
- Product review. We study the product’s radio modules, frequency bands, power levels, interfaces and intended markets.
- Test plan. We identify the applicable RF and EMC standards, test modes, sample configuration and documentation the lab will need.
- Lab coordination. We select a laboratory whose accreditation covers the tests, and coordinate scheduling and sample submission.
- Monitoring. If a test fails, we work with the lab and your engineers to understand why and plan corrective changes and retests.
- Report review. We check the reports for correct standards, product identification and test configurations before you use them.
- Approval support. We help you use the reports for WPC ETA, BIS registration where applicable, or your customer’s requirements.

Why Aaditech
- Regulatory understanding. Our leadership comes from the Bureau of Indian Standards and the electricity regulator, so we know what approving authorities look for in a report.
- Lab-neutral advice. We recommend laboratories on the basis of their accredited scope and suitability for your product.
- Fewer repeat tests. Careful test planning and sample preparation reduce the chance of an incomplete or rejected report.
- Linked approvals. The same team can carry your RF reports through WPC ETA approval.
